DISH Hopper is Changing the Satellite TV World

DISH Network released Hopper, the whole home DVR system that's loaded with features, on March 15th and the satellite television world may never be the same.

Hopper refers both to the entire in-house system, as well as the primary set-top-box in the home.  Hopper serves as the overall "brain" of the system, and reaches out to client receivers named "Joey" to provide shared DVR and On-Demand content throughout the home.  The practical applications are far reaching for Hopper.  For example, a customer can start watching one show in their living room, pause the show, and then pick up right where they left off from any other connected television in the home.

Hopper also contains a host of other features like Primetime Anytime, a Remote Control finder, and many others.  You can learn more about these at www.godish.com/hopper/hopper-features.aspx.

Sling technology is also available with Hopper, which allows you to watch your TV Everywhere that you go!  Customers with Hopper need only connect a Sling Adapter and a high-speed internet connection to begin enjoying their live and DVR content on their laptop, approved smartphone, or their iPad.

  1. Now that I have the Hopper installed in my home, I feel so lucky! This DVR is definitely something everyone should be able to experience. Even if I am at school or working late at Dish, I can view all my shows since it has massive DVR space. The newly added Auto Hop feature even lets you skip through commercials in primetime TV, how sweet is that?
